Hello, I'm Ashley, a passionate Pastry Chef and Home Baker, and I'm thrilled to share a bit of my story with you. My journey into the world of baking and sweets has been quite the adventure. It all began when I graduated with my Associates degree in Baking and Pastries from Culinary LeNotre in Houston, Tx back in October 2021.
But let's rewind a bit further. Ever since I was a little girl, I've been captivated by the enchanting world of food and confections. My love for baking and cake decorating was ignited by watching The Food Network channel with my childhood best friend, Erica. We'd eagerly try to recreate the mouthwatering dishes and desserts we saw on TV, creating cherished memories that would shape my culinary path.
After spending over a decade as a waitress, I decided to follow my heart and left my job to pursue my passion for baking from the comfort of my own home. It's amazing how life's twists and turns can lead us down the sweetest paths.
As fate would have it, about a year ago, my fiancé and I embarked on a delightful journey into the world of freeze-dried candy, lovingly known as 'Crunchies.' It's been an incredible venture, crafting these unique treats that burst with flavor and crunch.
